If you’re anything like me, you LOVE getting comfort items as gifts. All the blankets, fuzzy socks, and pajamas, please!
Every year when stores start putting out their fun Christmas-themed fleece blankets I get giddy and always buy AT LEAST one as a gift for someone! They’re only like $5 at Walmart, and are the perfect throw blankets!
That being said, if you pair a blanket with a nice magazine and a cute little printable tag it makes a super cozy gift that encourages relaxation at what can normally be a crazy time of year.
I made this gift with teachers in mind, but honestly it works for just about anyone!

How do you make this DIY Sleep In Heavenly Peace Gift?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Blanket
- Magazine
- Ribbon
- Free Printable Sleep in Heavenly Peace Gift Tags
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
Step 2: Print and cut out the tags.
To make this gift cute, and to tie it all together, I made these cute Sleep in Heavenly Peace gift tags you can print out to attach to the gift.
I print tags like these out on cardstock paper which makes them more sturdy and ensures they won’t tear when you attach the ribbon.
When you print out the tags, they will print six-to-a-page, so keep that in mind when you’re printing.
Cut the tags out using a sharp pair of scissors, and then use a hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the tag.
Loop a ribbon through the hole, and then set the tag aside until you have your gift put together.
Step 3: Attach the magazine to the blanket.
I found a super cute Christmas Cookie magazine that’s full of all the best Christmas cookie inspiration and perfect for lazy holiday lounging in a blanket.
Choose a holiday magazine, or pick whatever you think your recipient would enjoy relaxing with the most. You can find a big selection of magazines at most checkout counters.
I picked a nice, fuzzy fleece blanket, and then used a one-inch ribbon to tie the magazine and blanket together.

Give it as is, or stick it in a gift bag to give it more of a put-together presentation.
