Bubble Guppies Birthday | Lots of Free Printables!

If your kids are anything like my youngest daughter, they’re obsessed with Bubble Guppies. I mean, my favorite thing to do to my children when they ask what time it is, is to say, “It’s time for lunch!” If you’re planning on throwing a Bubble Guppies Birthday, then this post and these printables are for you!
Don’t worry, these printables won’t cost you anything to get, I give them away for free just for you! I know throwing parties can be expensive, and any place you can cut down on costs without cutting down on the party itself is a bonus. Keep scrolling to see the ideas and to get the free Bubble Guppies Birthday printables.

So, if you’ve done any looking or planning for a Bubble Guppies Birthday, you’ll figure out pretty quickly that you can’t find much to buy, and what you can buy is typically very expensive because it’s discontinued. My youngest was determined that her 3rd birthday party was going to be a Bubble Guppies birthday, so I got to work creating some decor and hunting down the best deals and ideas to make it amazing for her. Since I already made a bunch of printable party decor, I decided to pass it on to you for free to print too!
To make this easy for you, you can see the exact items I bought for this party here: Bubble Guppies Birthday Party Supply list on Amazon

Cupcakes are typically a must-have for us at birthday parties because I can’t screw them up. I suck at cake decorating (like, seriously I’m so bad) and cupcakes are easy, OR I can cheat and buy them store-bought (what I actually do) and still make them look super cute with these cupcake toppers I made. You can get all the free Bubble Guppies Birthday printables by clicking HERE.
It’s super easy to make the cupcake toppers. All you do is print them out, cut them out, and then tape a toothpick onto the back of the circle and stick them into the cupcakes. Easy peasy.
This was the cake that my amazing aunt made for our Bubble Guppies Birthday! Isn’t it fantastic?! I can’t decorate any baked goods to save my life, and she wows me every single time! The characters re really tough to find at an affordable price, since they’re discontinued, so start looking early, and check places like Mercari or eBay.
If you don’t want to buy a big themed cake for your Bubble Guppies Birthday, you can just buy a plain cake (it can be any theme color or even half polka dots and stripes etc) and put the adorable printable cake topper on top! This works the same as the cupcake toppers, I just use a bamboo skewer stick instead of a toothpick since it so much bigger. This is also part of the free Bubble Guppies Birthday printables. So snag these by clicking HERE.
I made these Clam Cookies (get the how-to COMING SOON!) and they were honestly one of the biggest hits out of all the food! My grandma ranted and raved (and I didn’t have to bake a single thing, because it’s all store bought!) and the kids ate a ton!
I *almost* didn’t include these sour gummy octopus as part of the party food, but saw them at the checkout at Walmart, and decided to grab a few bags. They were the first food gone!
I always try to balance out the sugar with a little healthy something, more for my sake, than anyone else’s. At the end of a long day of setting up for these elaborate parties, cake and sugary snacks just don’t cut it – so some sea cucumbers it was! They’re just regular cucumbers peeled and sliced.
Ideally there should be more water (blue or teal M&Ms) than there are fish (Goldfish), but my little birthday girl wanted to help and dumped in the whole box of Goldfish. So my mix was more like sea in the fish, but it was cute for her Bubble Guppies Birthday anyway – haha!
I always make water bottle labels for my printable party packs because they’re an easy way to turn something you will have at the party anyway into something that’s now a themed part of the decor. Just cut the labels out, remove the original water bottle label, and tape the new one on.
DECOR
A HUGE part of any party is the decor. Aside from lots of printable decor, I also added some fun things you can incorporate into your party too! We will talk about the giant stand up Bubble Guppies characters (that you can absolutely order on Amazon like I did) in a minute. The coral, shells and bubbles you see as part of the background behind the table are included as part of the free Bubble Guppies Birthday printables. The ocean backdrop was part of a big roll I found on Amazon for pretty cheap HERE.
The balloon arch is pretty simple to make, but is also time consuming. All you need to do is tie regular balloons in bunches of four to each other. Make the balloons different sizes. Use a LOW TEMP (don’t use high-temp or you’ll regret it) glue gun (hard to find, but I found mine cheap on Amazon HERE) and glue the bunches together until you have the shape you want. I then used command hooks and party ribbon to hand the balloon arch on the wall.
One of the things that took the longest to make, but was absolutely worth it because of the atmosphere it created, was this streamer curtain. I simply cut streamers (three awesome blues HERE) to be a few inches longer than the windows that lined my venue, and then staggered them by color. I attached them using packing tape to the metal curtain rods. I cut long strip of packing tape, filled it up with alternating colors of crepe streamers, and then attached it to the existing curtain rod at the venue. Cheap, and awesome!
I also blew up a few clear balloons using helium and attached them to blue balloon weights on the tables to give the illusion of bubbles.
The banner is a big part of the decor for any party. These banners are part of the free Bubble Guppies Birthday printables you can get by clicking HERE. The background is filled with bubbles and features the Bubble Guppies font for the letters. My daughter screams, “BUBBLE GUPPIES!” every time she sees this set! I also love these shimmery streamer backgrounds. I get mine on Amazon HERE. I used a dark pink, a regular blue, and an aqua blue for this party.
To hang the banner you just need to print the banner, cut out the triangles, and then use a hole punch to punch a hole in both sides of the top of the banner. Hang the banner on ribbon or twine for best results. I run the string in the holes and behind the triangle so you see the banner when you hang it up, not a ton of ribbon and string. Don’t accidentally punch holes in the wrong triangle point (ask me how I know).
For the tablecloths I found these AWESOME water vinyl tablecloths on Amazon HERE. I added some seashells to the tables for some extra decor with the balloon bunches too.
I also found an amazing bundle deal on Mylar balloons on Amazon HERE. This bundle came with two star balloons, two square Bubble Guppies balloons, and a giant number balloon (we got a 3 because it was her 3rd birthday, but they have other ages too). When I say giant number balloon, I mean the thing was like 3 ft tall. Great deal!
Okay, let’s talk about these giant Bubble Guppies standees I found on Amazon! They have several characters (including Bubble Puppy), but I got Gil and Molly for our Bubble Guppies Birthday. The description SAYS they are 4′ 9″ tall, but they aren’t. The Molly was 4′ 7″, and the Gil was only 4′ 2″. I brought this to the attention of the company, so they may have fixed the description by now. Either way, they’re only like $35 each, and made a HUGE difference in how the party looked! Kids took pictures with them, and they were awesome. You can find them on Amazon HERE.

ACTIVITIES
Every kid of every age loved that I had multiple bubble machines running! I had them pointed away from the food, so don’t comment and tell me I poisoned my party guests haha. BUT, I will tell you that you should NOT get the cheap bubble machines from the Walmart party section, but should get THIS ONE on Amazon instead. The little one required me to refill them every 8-10 minutes, and that got really old really fast. You can’t have Bubble Guppies Birthday without bubbles!
We also made sand slime with tiny shells in it. Well, I should say we TRIED. I had to work some serious slime fixing to get the recipe I tried to use to work correctly, so skip looking on the internet and use the slime recipe I use in my Elf Snot – that recipe has NEVER failed me. Just add a few tablespoons of sand and some mini shells (I found mine HERE) instead of the food coloring. Kids LOVED it! I gave each kid a little plastic container to take the slime home in.
PARTY FAVORS
Aside from the slime I sent home with everyone, I also had my amazingly talented from Desi from Two Kids & A Crumb make these cookies! We individually wrapped them in cellophane bags (that you can find HERE) and gave one to each party guest as they left. Aren’t they just darling?

GENERAL PRINTABLE PARTY PACK TIPS
PRINTING
I get these printed professionally to save on ink and to make sure they’re high quality. I find it cheaper for me to have some place like Staples of the UPS Store print these for me than it is to use my printer’s ink. Maybe I just need a new printer.
Print everything BUT the water bottle labels on cardstock. Print the water bottle labels on regular paper so they’re more pliable.
Check the printable pack before printing so you can make sure you get enough of each item that you need. I only include a single sheet of water bottle labels (which is 5 labels) so if you’re planning on having 30 bottles of water, make sure you print six of that page so you have enough. Use that same line of thinking with food cards, cupcake toppers etc.
CUTTING
Channel your inner Kindergarten self and do your best cutting along the edges of these. When in doubt, go into the edge of the color to ensure there are no white edges. White edges will make it look sloppy. Use good scissors or you’ll be mad.
SUPPLIES
Outside of the printables, you will need a few other things to make your printables work for your party.
You will also need:
Scissors
Hole Punch
Tape
Toothpicks
Bamboo Skewer Sticks
Ribbon or Twine
